    What I am most proud of from 2020 was graduating 1st year of university and not gaining a single kilo. Everyone else gained weight and I didn't 😁🤭. They thought I was stuffing my face because I was overweight. I rubbed it in their faces.

    You would knock more time off than that just by correcting your footing and stride position. If your feet point out to the side when you walk you're wasting energy and adding time.

    The moment u said ur ganna train makes whatever ur results are invalid. U hadnt been doing anything so ur baseline test was good, u should have gone to having the weights on but changing nothing else in ur day to day then done another test to compare to the control. When someone first starts working out there is a much faster spike in improvement then for people who have been working out for a while meaning the progress asymptotes. So for a test with training with the weights it would need someone who had been in shape prior to the test to have more valid results, key word more valid because there are many other variables to take into account.

    I’ve done an experiment like this except I kept the weights around 10 lbs a leg. I wore them for months. 😎 I felt like lee whenever I’d take them off. I’d do 4 mile+ hikes, run, other workouts. Ease into it, and you’ll get what your looking for.

    Your test was actually good you didn't let your muscles rest after dropping the weights. you should have rested for at least a half a day and then do the final test you would have more significant Improvement. I am in United States Marine I did the same thing for about two-and-a-half years. my improvements where significant I wore weight and slowly increste the amount of weight over time and worked out the Marine Corps workout program sometimes with the weight sometimes without. I incrementally increase the weight every two weeks by a factor of 2-5 lb every 2 weeks. in the first six months I tested my abilities strength and speed went up about 20% or so percent my stamina went up by 50% after the first year my strength and speed went up about 30% and my stamina went up by 80% the biggest increase in doing this style of workout is stamina. muscle stamina but you have to do it slowly incrementally and have it on for long fir a long time. when I had the weights I had it on all day not just couple hours when I stopped I had 30 lb on each leg 50 lb waist belt and 20 lb on each wrist that was my max weight

    Instead of telling us the TIME improvement between before and after, tell us percentages. Saving 0.1 seconds seems insignificant, but a 10-20% time improvement would be more impressive. Just a suggestion to make it easier to compare resuts.

    I have a suspicion that were the weights secured in place better the walking would have been a lot easier, though I can only base that on how much easier it is to move with 55 pounds in a plate carrier compared to less weight in a loose pack.

    The seconds are harder to shave off over time. Diminishing returns, so the weights were likely more effective than you are giving them credit for.

    What else do we expect, weights train the hip and knee flexors. And the movement with the weights is not focused on fast muscular contraction. They don't focus also on the hip and knee extensors which you need to push off. Principle of specificity - train for what you need to get results you want. This is definitely not the way to train for speed and agility. There's transference, but it won't help you much than just training for speed with better methods.
